Participation terms and use of photographs

You must submit your own photographs or hold all the necessary permissions. You must be over 18 to use this form. Do not submit photographs containing identifiable people or personal information about third parties.

You retain your copyright. For each photograph submitted with acceptance of these terms, you grant the owner of Subdiversión free, non-exclusive, worldwide and perpetual permission — for the duration of the applicable rights — to reproduce, distribute, communicate to the public and adapt the photograph for activities related to Subdiversión.

Authorised uses include the Subdiversión website, applications and social media, outreach and education, advertising and marketing campaigns, publications and books distributed free of charge or sold, and project merchandising. They include cropping, resizing, compression, page layout and other adaptations necessary for those uses, respecting authorship and the integrity of the work. Your authorship will be credited using your public name.

Subdiversión may use hosting providers, social media platforms, printers, publishers and manufacturers to carry out those uses. This does not grant visitors a public reuse licence or permit the photograph to be sold as a stock image for uses unrelated to the project.

The permission is perpetual; it is not described as irrevocable and does not limit any mandatory rights you may have. Deleting your account does not automatically terminate permission already granted. To request removal or discuss future uses, write to the contact email. Requests will be considered individually; printed copies already distributed cannot technically be recalled automatically.

Contributions are reviewed before publication. Proposing a species does not amount to a confirmed scientific identification. Subdiversión may reject inappropriate or duplicate content or content lacking sufficient permissions. Badges recognise approved contributions and do not confer financial rights.

Pending photographs are kept privately until review, for a maximum of 90 days. On rejection or expiry, the pending file is deleted. Participation and acceptance records are retained in accordance with the privacy policy. Your email is not published; your public name is used for attribution.
